2024 Scholarship Award for SNEPCo National University from NNPC

The program’s objectives are to develop young Nigerians’ skills and encourage academic success. From the second year of their undergraduate education to the end, successful applicants receive an annual grant.

Interested undergraduate students in Nigerian universities offering courses authorized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) are encouraged to apply electronically.

Qualifications

The candidate needs to:

Be a citizen of Nigeria.
presently enrolled at a Nigerian university with NUC accreditation for their second year of full-time study.

possess a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 in a 5-grade system, or the equivalent in other grade systems;

and not be the recipient of any other national or international scholarship from an organization involved in the oil and gas sector.

Applications from female applicants are highly welcomed.

Selection Standards

The candidate needs to:

Applications must be submitted through the scholarship portal ONLY before the deadline.
Only those who fulfill the requirements for eligibility will be invited to take the computer-based test under observation.

Before a scholarship offer is made, the top 10 applicants from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory will be shortlisted for academic verification.

Applicants whose results are fabricated will not be considered.
The only applicants who meet the requirements above will be contacted to discuss receiving the scholarship.

In order to keep their award, all scholars must maintain a minimum 3.5 CGPA per session in a 5-grade system, or the equivalent in other grade systems.

How to Apply

• Every applicant should have a valid personal email account and phone number.

• Candidates should include personal and educational details in the application.
• Applicants should upload scanned copies of the following as part of the application:
  • Recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, not more than 200kilobytes;
  • University or JAMB Admission Letter;
  • Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result;
  • O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable;
  • Letter of Identification from State of Origin indicating applicant’s local government of origin; 
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average after the first year i.e. candidate must have completed and have results of 2 academic semesters at the minimum
