Applications are now open for the Nigeria Institution of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) Scholarship 2025, designed to empower the next generation of engineers and scientists. With a mission to nurture talent and foster inclusivity, NIPES invites eligible students to apply for this prestigious opportunity.

About NIPES

The National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) is a renowned organization bringing together leading experts in engineering and science. Established as The Nigerian Institution of Professional Engineers and Scientists on June 20, 2019, it became formally incorporated under Nigeria’s Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) on November 13, 2021.

Expanding its global footprint, NIPES achieved international incorporation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, on December 13, 2024, marking a pivotal moment in its commitment to global excellence and collaboration.

Scholarship Details

The scholarship fund totals ₦1,000,000, divided among five recipients, with each scholar awarded ₦200,000.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Current enrollment in an accredited higher institution.
• Be pursuing a degree in science or engineering-related disciplines.
• Open to students at 100 level or higher.
• Completion of at least one free NIPES online course is mandatory, with skills gained reflected in the personal statement.

Selection Process

Candidates will be evaluated based on these criteria:

1. NIPES student membership status.
2. Strength and relevance of the personal statement (500–750 words).
3. Evident passion for engineering or science fields.
4. Completion of a NIPES course, with a clear explanation of the skills learned.
5. Alignment with NIPES’ mission and core values.

   If you’re not already a member, sign up on the NIPES website to become a student member here.
2. Complete a Free NIPES Online Course
   Enroll in a course of your choice and develop skills to highlight in your personal statement here.
3. Submit Your Application
   • Write a personal statement (500-750 words) explaining how the skills gained from the NIPES course align with your academic and career aspirations.
   • Attach proof of enrollment, student ID, and your NIPES membership number (if applicable).
   • Submit your application here.
