An EFCC agent commits suicide in Abuja
On Monday, an employee of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission took his own life at home in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.
According to information obtained, the deceased, whose identity is unknown, was enrolled in the anti-graft agency’s academy’s fifth course.
Speaking on the tragedy, EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale told PRNigeria that an inquiry was being conducted to find out what caused the tragic event.
He continued by saying that the CIA was looking into potential causes of the operative’s suicide, such as mental health issues and difficulties in the family.
According to Oyewale, the Commission would hold off on making any announcements or disclosing the identity of the operator until the investigation was over.
