The prestigious DW Akademie International Media Studies Master’s Program is now accepting applications for its 2025 intake. Since its inception in 2009, this globally recognized program has welcomed over 290 students from 74 countries. It is a collaborative effort by DW Akademie, the University of Bonn, and the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, ensuring students benefit from top-tier teaching and resources. Each year, only 30 outstanding candidates are admitted, making this a truly competitive and enriching opportunity.

Scholarship Opportunities

For this program, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers scholarships to up to 10 exceptional applicants from developing nations. Scholarship recipients will receive financial support and the chance to complete an internship in their home countries during the fourth semester, enabling them to apply their learning directly in their local context.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility criteria include:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least one year of professional experience in the media sector after earning your degree.
  • Proficiency in English, demonstrated through an accepted language test.
  • Applicants from developing and emerging countries are especially encouraged to apply for the DAAD scholarship.
