Edo State Disengages commissioner of health
Dr. Samuel Alli, the commissioner of health, has been fired by Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki.
According to a statement released by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Osarodion Ogie.Dr. Roland Igbinoba has been appointed as the governor’s special adviser on special projects.
“The disengagement of Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli, with immediate effect, has been approved by Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki,” the SSG stated.
“He is to turn over all official records and assets to the Ministry of Health‘s highest-ranking civil worker.
“The government extends its gratitude for his service and best wishes for him in his upcoming endeavors.
“In the final four months of his administration, the governor is determined to finish strong and will remove any barriers that could prevent the people from receiving the best possible services.”
“The governor also authorized Dr. Roland Igbinoba’s appointment as special adviser to the governor on special projects. According to the governor, this appointment will help the administration expedite the completion of development projects around the state”.
Along with inspecting Stella Obasanjo Hospital, which is presently being reconstruction under the State Ministry of Health’s jurisdiction, the governor stated that priority needs to be given to making sure all ongoing projects are finished quickly enough to suit the demands of the local population.
He desires that, for the good of the populace, all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies promptly adapt to his tempo.
