Position Overview
Quizgecko is offering a fully remote, contract-based role for an experienced React Native Developer. This opportunity allows you to work from any location globally, provided you have prior remote work experience and are comfortable with freelance contracts.
You will serve as the sole developer for a widely used iOS and Android application, supporting thousands of active subscribers daily. A minimum of three years of experience in React Native development is mandatory to ensure you can adapt quickly and deliver results effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As a React Native Developer at Quizgecko, you will:
- Develop and Enhance Features: Build and maintain robust functionalities for our React Native mobile app.
- Weekly Updates: Ensure timely submission of app updates to app stores.
- Collaborate with Backend Developers: Seamlessly integrate RESTful APIs and other backend services.
- Optimize Performance: Troubleshoot issues and enhance app performance for a superior user experience.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with QA testers to maintain high application standards.
- Code Maintenance: Adhere to best practices in coding, version control (Git), and documentation.
- Communication: Provide consistent progress updates and collaborate effectively with team members.
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- React Native Expertise: At least three years of proven experience with React Native. Include relevant project examples in your application.
- JavaScript Proficiency: Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+).
- Version Control: Experience working with Git.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Availability: Ability to start promptly and meet deadlines consistently.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Laravel/PHP and web development.
