Mayor Akpodoro calls for closer connections with Nigeria and congratulates British Prime Minister Starmer.
Eshanekpe Israel, also known as Akpodoro, the mayor of Urhoboland, has congratulated Keir Starmer, the recently elected British prime minister, on his election win.
He calls it overwhelmingly deserving and points out that Starmer’s popularity is a result of years of exceptional antecedents and hard work.
Mayor Akpodoro stated that the world needs such revolutionary change, especially in Africa to change the norm of good leadership deficit, which he maintained is the bane of African development.
He further noted that the British electorate’s overwhelming mandate for Starmer is a testament to his astuteness, statesmanship, and the finesse of his character.
The British electorate will exhale in relief from the government’s sluggishness in favor of a more aggressive administration
that will bring about significant growth and greater development, according to the mayor, who was previously an activist for a better Niger Delta region.
In order for Africa to flourish, the Mayor wants to see better British ties with Nigeria, especially in the area of the fight against corruption. He asks Starmer to reverse Western complicity in corruption in Africa.
The outspoken youth leader claimed that there is reason to believe that the majority of money stolen from Africa, especially
Nigeria, is hidden away in the United Kingdom and that the new British leader could easily put an end to this, given his demands for
greater repatriation of the wealth of stolen artifacts kept in museums in that nation.
“The Starmer administration ought to take the lead in the fight against corruption in Africa by demonstrating practical examples.
The people and administration of the United Kingdom should repatriate all of the stolen artifacts from Africa that are in their possession. Those things still need to be put back where they were stolen.
Mayor Akpodoro congratulated Starmer and expressed his hope that he would transform progress in one of the oldest kingdoms in human history. He also wished the new prime minister well in his position.
