Protest in preparation: “Onanuga tweets like a 19-year-old Tiktoker,” a pundit criticizes Tinubu’s assistant
President Bola Tinubu’s spokeswoman, Bayo Onanuga, has come under fire from financial expert Kalu Aja for remarks he made regarding the planned statewide protests.
On Sunday, Aja remarked that Onanuga “tweets” like a 19-year-old Tiktok influencer in a post on his X handle.
The reaction followed Onanuga’s accusation that followers of Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) previous presidential candidate, were plotting chaos in Nigeria.
In addition, Onanuga portrayed Obi as an unsuccessful presidential candidate and claimed that he ought to bear accountability for any fallout from the move.
The Tinubu spokesman went on to assert that the planned demonstration organizers are the same individuals that were encouraged to start the destructive ENDSARS rally in Nigeria in October 2020 by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the IPOB who is currently incarcerated.
