River Assembly Selects Eight Candidates to Replace Pro-Wike Commissioners
This Tuesday, eight commissioner-nominees by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, will be screened and confirmed by a faction of the River state House of Assembly loyal to the governor.
The nominees include; Hon. Charles Bekee, Mr. Collins Onunwo, Hon. Solomon Eke, Dr. Peter Medee, Hon. Elloka Tasie-Amadi, Hon. Basoene Benibo, Mr. Tambari Sydney Gbara, and Dr. Ovy Orluideye Chukwuma.
The nominees were instructed in a statement signed by the Clerk of the House, Dr. Godsgift Gillis-West, to report to the Hallowed Chamber of the House by 10:00 a.m. at Government House, Port Harcourt, which is located in the Administration Block.
Part of the letter read that the nominees are to come along with twelve (12) sets of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) and, the originals and photocopies of their credentials.”
INFO360 observed that Dagogo Iboroma, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), was sworn in as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice less than a week after the commissioner-nominees were screened.
