On Sunday, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, President Bola Tinubu, Former President Muhammadu Buhari, and

Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, proposed remedies to the nation’s economic problems.

In light of the fact that Eid was observed in the midst of severe food inflation, Tinubu urged Nigerians to practice Eid-el-Kabir by being more empathetic toward their neighbors and giving to everyone in need.

The President emphasized that some sacrifice will be required to improve the country as he attended his Eid prayer in Lagos.

The former governor of Lagos state emphasized to Nigerians in a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, that citizenship carries obligations.

A portion of the statement said, “The Chief Imam has instructed us on how to walk the path of sacrifice. The price a good citizen must pay.

Being a citizen entails obligations. What must we do as citizens in order to be active participants in our society?

That is sacrifice, indeed—loving your nation. demonstrating love for your neighbors. Giving each other all you have. and to never stop giving thanks to the Almighty God.

The Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Suleiman Abou-Nolla, who presided over the prayers, stressed the value of greater love,

sacrifice, and caring for the weak and impoverished in his sermon, as described in the announcement.

The late Sir Ahmadu Bello, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola,

Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, and other notable figures gave their expertise, fortune, labor, and even their lives to advance the nation we live in today.

Their entire course of action and endeavor was focused on establishing the nation.

“As a result, we have to make sure that their sacrifices were worthwhile. The priest was cited as saying during the prayers,

“It is incumbent on us to follow their footsteps to ensure that this nation, Nigeria, continues to grow in leaps and bounds.”

The chief imam urged the populace to pray to God Almighty for the strength and discernment required for the President to realize his vision for a more wealthy and better country.

Former President Buhari advised the populace to buy things made in Nigeria and go back to farming in his speech.

In a statement made public on Sunday by his media advisor, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed his happiness that more

Nigerians were turning to agriculture in order to increase food production, bring down prices, and guarantee food security for the country.

After leading the Eid prayer at the township Eid site alongside Dr. Faruk Faruk, the Emir of Daura, Buhari spoke to reporters and wished everyone a joyous celebration.

“I use this occasion to make an appeal to all citizens to make Nigeria self-reliant,” he was quoted as saying in the statement.

Come on, let’s grow food. We’ve demonstrated our ability. When we notice that costs are rising, it is not the time to give up.

“Let us purchase domestically created goods. Successive governments have laid the groundwork for a successful and stable nation, and

I especially urge our young people to be involved in various nation-building initiatives.

“I implore the country’s youth to learn about the great figures in their areas and the founding fathers of the country, and draw inspiration from them.”

The former president expressed worry about population growth that is out of control and cautioned that it could provide serious problems for next generations.

“More money has to be put into health and education, as well as more dialogue and knowledge about this issue.

In light of the national predicament and the sallah spirit, let us support one another and strive to be our brothers’ defenders. Happy Ramadan to all of you, Buhari continued.

In his remarks, the former president urged subsequent administrations to further develop the National Youth Service Corps,

which he described as a “strong fabric holding the country together.” The corps members have a tradition of honoring him every Shabbat.

Buhari praises NYSC.

One of General Yakubu Gowon’s greatest accomplishments as Head of State, he said, was the NYSC.

To commemorate the event, the previous president gave the NYSC members a cow, ten bags of rice, and some cash.

The Sultan urged the leaders to step up their efforts to find answers to Nigeria’s security and economic problems in his message for Eid.

Let us come together in love, forgiveness, and reconciliation in the midst of the present difficulties. Let us ask God to intervene in our political, economic, and security conflicts.

“As the Muslim Ummah celebrates this festival, let us remember that our nation deeply needs God’s mercy, peace, and unity,” the Christian leader said.
