APC governors: Tinubu addresses economic challenges amidst global hardships

Governor of Imo State and chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, has cleared President Bola Tinubu of any responsibility for the nation’s current economic crisis.

The governor maintained that it would be unjust for anyone to hold the president responsible, contending that the severe adversity is not exclusive to Nigeria.

A forum of governors chosen according to the All Progressives Congress program is called the PGF.

During a solidarity visit to the APC secretariat in Abuja on Monday, Uzodimma expressed his condolences to Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the ruling party, for the passing of his mother-in-law.

Along with the governor of Imo were the governors of Cross River, Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, and Bassey Otu of Imo.

“We don’t need to overflog the horse,” he stated. In actuality, the APC has performed admirably in Nigeria. We are currently facing a global economic crisis.

In addition, President Bola Tinubu is announcing measures to guarantee that he has initiated treatment, considering the state of the economy and circumstances he encountered in the field.

With God’s grace, I have no doubt that Nigerians would be celebrating his successful navigation of the waterways very soon.

“We must go to the secretariat in order to communicate with the party’s leadership, national chairman, and members of the National Working Committee.

Most importantly, we must offer our sympathies to him for the recent loss of his mother-in-law and to demonstrate our support for the chairman and party managers.”

The PGF chairman went on to say that he was optimistic the APC will exert every effort in the upcoming September 21

governorship election to unseat the Peoples Democratic Party-led government in Edo State.

In order to support their candidates for governor, the governor further revealed that a few APC governors would also be present at the polls in the states of Edo and Ondo.

You are aware that I am the Progressive Governors Forum chairman. Speaking on behalf of my colleagues, the 20 governors, and a party like the

APC that holds power in 20 out of the 36 states, I do so whenever I speak. If an election is a mathematical game, then the majority will prevail.

For example, the majority of us Progressives Governors Forum members are anticipated to attend the national campaign council’s inauguration in

Edo State on the 20th of this month. Politically speaking, which other party can offer or brag of such a resource?” he remarked.

Ganduje greeted the governors’ group and expressed his gratitude for their visit.

“There is no doubt that we are extremely delighted that we learned that they (the governors) are coming,” he stated. Thus, I believe it to be a blessing for us. We trust them with it.

“We’ll do all within our power to uphold positive working relationships and support the interests of our governors around the nation.

Without a doubt, they are also supporting the party and elevating our institution’s profile.
