EXTRA: “We will all return to God,” El-Rufai says in response to X’s criticism of Uba Sani.
The former governor of Kaduna, Nasir el-Rufai, has reacted to an X post that criticizes his successor, Uba Sani.
According to a post made on Tuesday by an X user going by the handle @IU_Wakilii, Sani has “changed Kaduna completely” since taking over.
Along with images of dump sites, the X user posted the content.
The post claims, “They thought we were kidding when we said that Governor Uba Sani had completely changed Kaduna in just a few months.”
“The best Governor in Nigeria is bringing us this kind of change.”
In his bio, the X user referred to el-Rufai as his mentor.
The former governor of Kaduna replied to the tweet with the mysterious statement, “From God we all came, and to Him we shall all return.”
It appears that over the past few months, el-Rufai and Sani’s relationship has gotten worse.
According to Sani, the massive debt and liabilities left by the el-Rufai administration have impeded Kaduna’s ability to govern.
The Kaduna house of assembly then started looking into the former governor.
El-Rufai allegedly had a falling out with President Bola Tinubu when the Senate refused to nominate the former governor as a minister in August 2023.

El-Rufai’s son Bashir took subtle jabs at Tinubu in a string of tweets on Wednesday, saying that no one is too powerful to be removed from office.
According to El’Rufai’s son, no one can be saved from election defeat by the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
“They already know who is being talked about because of their guilt, even if I didn’t call names. “Wallahi, none of you will
coerce anyone to endorse this complete breakdown of governance cloaked in a risky, ethnocentric political tactic,” wrote Bashir.
