The World Trade Organization Young Professional Programs was established to equip young professionals from underdeveloped and developing nations with knowledge and experience about the WTO. Aim of the Program
The World Trade Organization program aims to attract members from the underrepresented nations at the WTO Secretariat. With this program in their CV, participants can be hired by WTO regional organizations or other similar platforms. This initiative contributes to the social responsibility of WTO Secretariat efforts to increase diversity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Those who apply for these programs would be required to work under:
• Accessions.
• Agriculture.
• Dispute settlement.
• Intellectual property rights.
• Competition policy.
• Market access.
• Rules.
• Government procurement.
• Trade and development.
• Trade in services.
• Trade facilitation.
• Trade policy analysis.
• Trade-related technical assistance.
Benefits
• Successful candidates would be eligible for a monthly salary of CHF 4,000. Along with that, all medical and transportation fares would be taken care of.

Who Are Eligible?
Below are the eligibility criteria for this program:
• Candidates must be a member person from a WTO member state.
• Should have an advanced university degree in law, economics, or other trade-related subjects.
• Must have a minimum of two years experience.
• Applicants must be those who show a high level of interest in international trade and WTO-related fields.
• Should be fluent in English Language. Also, those with a good knowledge of WTO and other official languages would be prioritized.
• Must be less than 32 years of age at the end of the start date of YPP.
